Its name derives from the Hebrew word מְקוֹרִי, meaning “origin.” As I reveal the story behind the image, keep this translation in mind. The purpose of this photograph is to provide contrasts between us and whoever controls eternity. The light that stands above us was there during the creation of the Earth, and it is the closest, visible object to “the beginning”.
